A group of pro-democracy activists resumed their ninth day of hunger strike outside the United Nations Building in New York on September 18, 2009, which marked the 21st anniversary of the bloody military coup in Burma. The hunger strike will continue everyday from 9AM to 6 PM until September 27, 2009.
The activists arrived in New York on September 08 after a long 90-day march from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to New York which is about 900 miles.
